Token Swapping
Learn how to swap tokens on Naga with best execution and competitive pricing.
What is Token Swapping?
Token swapping allows you to exchange MYRC <> USDT or another token directly on our website. Naga automatically finds the best route and price for your trade.
How to Swap Tokens
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
Before you can swap tokens, connect your Web3 wallet:
- Click the "Connect Wallet" button in the top right
- Select your wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
- Approve the connection in your wallet
Step 2: Select Tokens
- In the "From" field, select the token you want to swap
- In the "To" field, select the token you want to receive
- You can quickly swap the token positions using the swap icon between the fields
Step 3: Enter Amount
- Enter the amount of tokens you want to swap in the "From" field
- The protocol will automatically calculate the estimated amount you'll receive
- Use the "Max" button to swap your entire balance of the selected token
Step 4: Review the Quote
The swap panel displays important information:
- Expected Output: The amount you'll receive (approximately)
- Minimum Received: The minimum amount guaranteed (accounting for slippage)
Step 5: Adjust Settings (Optional)
Click the settings icon to customize:
- Slippage Tolerance: Maximum price movement you're willing to accept (default: 0.5%)
- Higher slippage = more likely to execute but potentially worse price
- Lower slippage = better price protection but may fail if market moves
Step 6: Execute the Swap
- Click the "Swap" button
- Review the transaction details in the confirmation modal
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet
- Wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the blockchain
Tips for Swapping
Set Appropriate Slippage
- For stable pairs (MYRC/USDT): 0.1-0.5% is usually sufficient
- For volatile pairs: 1-3% may be needed during high volatility
- For low liquidity pairs: You may need even higher slippage
Refresh Quotes
Token prices change constantly. If you wait too long before confirming, refresh the quote to get the latest price.
Monitor Gas Fees
Gas fees vary based on network congestion. Check the estimated gas fee before confirming your transaction.
Common Issues
Transaction Failed
- Insufficient Balance: Ensure you have enough tokens plus gas fees
- Slippage Too Low: The price moved beyond your slippage tolerance - try increasing it
- Insufficient Liquidity: The token pair may not have enough liquidity for your trade size
Quote Expired
If you wait too long, the quote may expire. Simply refresh to get a new quote with updated pricing.
Fees
Naga charges a small fee on each swap to maintain the protocol. The fee structure varies by token pair and is displayed before you confirm the transaction.
